The Bethel, CT Public Library ( http://www.bethellibrary.org/ ) was kind enough to allow me to display a small selection (27 prints) of my photography for the month of June. The photos were hung with the help of my family. One of my sons took the photo below with my cell phone. I think he is a natural with the soft focus technique.
The exhibit is titled "Altered Vision --- Not So Ordinary Photography". Please stop by if you are in the area. The exhibit will be hanging until at least June 23rd.
Altered Vision --- Not So Ordinary Photography
I've always been fascinated by photography. Below is a photo I took when I was about 6 years old. I have a very distinct memory of this, since I "borrowed" my mom's Kodak Brownie 127 to take this photo. I know where it was taken, but I don't remember who is in the photo. I remember being very disappointed when the film was developed. When I was about 12 years old, I asked my mom for a camera of my own for my birthday. Her immediate response was "No." "What are you going to take pictures of?". It would be another 7 years before I had enough money to buy a good SLR camera (an Olympus OM-1) of my own. Surprisingly, I'm still taking pictures like my very first picture.
